Momoko's dream is to be a bride. Our first image of her is remembering her parent's wedding day and trying on her mother's wedding dress. Her best friends Yuri and Hinagiku catch her in the act and tease her for it. While the three are working on a report for the school newspaper, they catch sight of the soccer team captain, Yanagiba, and instantly spark a three-way rivalry for his affection. Meanwhile, the goalie's back-up, Yousuke, gets under Momoko's skin and soon, her heart.
Reine Devila once fell in love with the angel Etamine when she glimpsed him, but realized he had a lover. Jealousy consumed her heart and twisted it. Now she wants only to kill all lovers and destroy any love remaining in the world. Her hatred ignites a war between the devils and the angels, and during this war the angel Celeste and devil Uragano fall to earth. Their memories at first lost, they each find love in the human world and bear children: to Celeste the angel Wedding Peach and to Uragano the devil Viento. Celeste is recalled to heaven by her sister Aprhodite, leaving her young daughter and beloved husband behind. Uragano is found and summoned by Reine Devila; mispleased by his new found life and priorities she kills him, and later sets her sights at the son who doesn't even realize the blood running in his veins.
The war continues, and Pluie is sent by Reine Devila to find the Saint Something Four (powerful items when reunited). Momoko is in possession of the first, the ring left to her by her mother. To protect it and her friends, she is made aware of her identity as Wedding Peach. Yuri and Hinagiku join her in the fight as Lily and Daisy, and later a pure blooded angel joins their team, Salvia.
The story uses wedding symbols and flower motifs, and at its heart is a Romeo and Juliet-like story. Like most mahou shoujo titles, the theme is indeed the power of love, but the emphasis is on the friendships of the girls and the relationships to the young men in their loves, making for very romantic stories. In addition to the main Romeo and Juliet, a story of an unrealized childhood affection, and reunited love from a past life.
